~Peanut Cookies~ (2014)

Peanut cookies is all time favorite CNY cookies in my family.
A MUST have cookies.

Today Chinese New Year eve, i'm sure everyone are busy.
busy preparing re-union lunch or dinner
busy shopping
busy cleaning
those still on the way going back home town ,drive safely.

~Star Cookies~ (2014)

Is 'Star' shape so i name it Star cookies...hahahaha
when i bake Pineapple tart left quite a lot pastry dough 
so i take out my 'Star' shape cookies cutter
chop chop chop.....
so another type of CNY cookies

This year i baked and fried quite a lot cookies and snacks.
let my families enjoy more variety...

~Pineapple Tart~ (2014)

Pineapple Tart another must have cookies......
Pineapple in Hokkien "Ong Lai" mean "good luck coming"
with this post i wish all of you have the best luck for coming year.

~Butter Cookies~ (2014)


Butter Cookies a must have CNY cookies in my house. i like this melt in the mouth butter cookies, this year put red cherries and chocolate chips for decoration.

Recipe please refer to my last year post.

~Fried Cod Fish Strips~


Last year CNY my friend give me this Fried Cod Fish Strips....i non stop eating it...i buy a few packs of
Cod fish strips (大发鱿鱼丝/ Da Fa Fish Fillet ) when offer.

I 'tide' up the cod fish strips when i watch TV program, take a strip round it and use another strip to 'tide' it.
after tide up all heat up a wok of oil deep fried it.......be careful  when fried very FAST turn brown.

I prefer  "Fried" version

~Crispy Seaweed Rolls~



This year i try out a lot new CNY snacks also available in market. a big thank you to all the bloggers share out all yummy, non stop  bite snacks. This fried crispy Seaweed Rolls quite popular .
i made this because of the 'baked cod fish strips' i still have the seaweed....so don't waste it go buy a pack of spring roll skin and i can have another type snacks...hihihi

Ingredients
*Seaweed (cut about 2inche width each )
* Spring roll skin 1 pack
*1 egg white
***Need a chopstick and scissor

Method
~place the seaweed in the middle of spring roll skin
~roll up the spring roll skin with chopstick
~brush some egg white at the end of spring roll skin 
~pull out the chop stick
~ use scissors cut into small pieces 
~heat up oil and fried it

***keep in container.....once eat will be non stop***









~Baked Cod Fish Strips~



This year i  saw this 'baked Cod fish Strips" appear in many blogs and FB also  a lot peoples post. It look simple so i try it out. Since i bake pineapple tart left over some egg white so i  buy a pack of 'Cod Fish Strips' (大发鱿鱼丝) and a pack of  Seaweed.

Ingredients
*Cod fish Strips
*Seaweed
*1 egg white

Method
~take 2 cod fish strips, i fold in both end to center use the seaweed strip wrap over, apply some egg white on the seaweed roll it tight
~Bake at preheated oven 140C 8-10mins or till golden brown.
~Leave to cool and keep in an airtight container.

~Honey Cornflakes Cups~


I'm not stop blogging....busy for the past 3 months and seldom bake cake. I know my follower will be disappointed i didn't update my blog for 3 months+, 'sorry'....Chinese New Year just around the corner. i will post up all my Chinese New Year cookies. Actually this 'Honey Cornflakes Cups' is the last item i bake but i post first.

It's a simple and fast , not require any baking skill!!!!!

You just need 4 ingredients if you plan to do some simple bites for chinese new year still got time.

Ingredients 
1 box (150gm) Corn Flakes
50gm butter
2 Tablespoon honey
Red glace cherries (cut into small piece)
small paper cups

Method
- Melt the butter in a bowl
- Add in honey mixed well
- Add in Cornflakes & Cherries mix well till all coated with the "butter honey" mixture
- Put the cornflakes into the papercups one by one
- Bake in pre-heated oven 150C, 10-12mins
- Cool it down and keep in air tight container

Easy??? Try it out!!! Kids will like it.
